Doubling Cube D6 in Translucent crystall clear / black with sharp edges What is a Doubling Cube used for? A doubling cube is mainly used in the board game Backgammon. Unlike regular dice, it doesn't show numbers from 1 to 6, but rather the values 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64. It is used to multiply the stakes of the game. At the beginning, the cube is placed with 64 facing up (which represents the initial 1x stake), and during their turn, either player may propose to double the stakes. The opponent must then decide whether to accept (in which case the cube is turned to, for example, 2) or to concede the game and lose.
